1 Safety regulations
Note
Electronic modules include electrostatically sensitive devices. Incorrect hand-
ling can cause damage to the electronics modules.
S Observe the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.
S Discharge yourself from static discharges before assembling or disas-
sembling modules to protect the modules.
Note
Channel 1 and channel 2 must be switched at least once per week to ensure the
intended use of these channels.
Transport and storage conditions
S
Protect the product during transport and storage from impermissible loads,
such as mechanical stress, impermissible temperatures, humidity and aggress-
ive atmospheres.
S
Store and transport the product in its original packaging. The original pack-
aging offers sufficient protection from typical stresses.
Intended use
The module can provide its intended safety function
– Safe disconnection of connected loads
if the connected loads are in a safe condition when disconnected.
This function is achieved by two-channel disconnection of the following load
voltage supplies in the CPX terminal:
– Load voltage supply line for valves U
This is used to supply valve terminal pneumatic modules in the CPX terminal
fitted on the right-hand side
– Two outputs provided by the module connection technology (module
channel 1 and channel 2).
