• Check of the status of the electrical cables and the control unit. (Bite marks, wear spots, loose connections, etc.).
7.3 Gears
The gears have already been filled at the factory with Shell Tivela S220 gear oil. Top up any lost oil using only this type of oil. Check whether oil is
leaking from the gearbox seals.
7.4 Screw connections
Check all screw connections weekly to ensure they are tight, especially the securing of the unit to the wall. Tighten the screw connections if neces-
sary.
7.5 Moving parts
Lubricate the flange bearing units at the locations marked (Fig.
12). Check plain bearing bushes (Fig. 14 - item 2.2) for wear. These
parts must be inspected regularly and replaced if they are wearing
too much.
7.6 Brushes
The brushes (Fig. 13 - item 4) must be changed once they have
worn down and exhibit only inadequate cleaning performance on
the animals.
7.6.1 Changing the brushes
1. Loosen all 4 screws on the top of the brush.
2. Replace the brush.
3. Reattach the brush with the 4 screws.
7.6.2 Brush cleaning

We recommend that the brush element should be cleaned every 6 weeks with a suitable disinfectant.
(For example INTERKOKASK® disinfectant #299698 from Albert Kerbl GmbH)
7.7 Entire unit
The entire unit must be cleaned on a regular basis.
Important!
• The gears, motor and electrical components must not be cleaned with water jets.
• Only clean the control unit with a damp sponge / cloth!
7.8 Disposal
Please observe local waste disposal regulations! Separate all of the unit's parts, auxiliary materials and operating materials according to type.
Consult your local authority if you have any questions concerning disposal options and quantities.
8. Warranty
The manufacturer offers the following independent warranty declaration for the product:
8.1 Area of product use
The warranty applies only to products that are used correctly and as they were intended.
8.2 Warranty period
The warranty period is two years and begins with the transfer of the product's risk to the purchaser, who will use the unit for the first time in
accordance with its intended use.
Warranty claims shall only be considered which are submitted to the manufacturer within the warranty period in text form, i.e. in writing, by fax
or by email. No defects notified after the expiry of the warranty period will be acknowledged.
8.3 Content of the warranty
Our warranty represents an independent extension of the legal warranty against defects. We also cover any defects which, following the transfer
of risk, occur within the warranty period and which are notified to us within this period.
8.4 Scope of services in the event of a warranty claim
The warranty comprises exclusively the material costs of spare parts for the parts that require replacement or are faulty. Excluded from the warran-
