Dispose of obsolete (irreparable) DS-01 according to the valid legal directives
Changing the Flash Tube
The flash tube of the DS-01 is a wear-and-tear part and has to be exchanged after a
certain number of flash sequences. The wear of the tube is indicated by irregular
flashing as of a flashing speed of 3600 RPM or more. In this case, exchange the flash
tube.
Attention!
Only an expert may exchange the flash tube.
When opening the covers or removing parts except where possible by
hand, you may expose live parts. Connections may also be live. Prior
to aligning, maintenance or repair work or exchanging parts or mod-
ules, you must separate the device from all power sources and con-
sumers if you need to open it. Only an expert familiar with the risks
and the pertinent regulations may align, repair or service an open live
appliance. Condensers in the device may still be charged even if the
device is separated from the voltage supply and consumer.
Maintenance and Care
With respect to maintenance, observe the safety notices at the beginning of these
operating instructions under all circumstances. Modification/tampering with circuits
leads to the expiration of the warranty. Contact our service department in case of
repairs or adjustments inside the device. For cleaning the device, use a clean, dry,
anti-static and lint-free cloth.
The device is microprocessor-controlled and does not have to be calibrated.
Attention!
Do not use any carboxylic cleaning agents, petrol, or similar for clean-
ing. These attack the surface of the DS-01. Besides, the vapours are
hazardous to your health and explosive. Do not use any sharp-edged
tools, screwdrivers, metal brushes or similar for cleaning.
