D.) Saving Flash Frequencies
The DS-01 is equipped with a memory for 10 flash frequencies.
1. Set the flash frequency to be saved. Afterwards, press the "Memory" button (13).
The flash frequency is now saved. In order to save another value, set the desired
flash frequency and press the "Memory" button (13) again. You can save up to 10
values. Once all 10 memory slots are occupied, the first value saved is deleted and
overwritten with the new one during the next save.
2. In order to call up the saved flash frequency, press the "Recall" button (12) until
you reach the desired memory slot.
Please note that the memory is deleted when turning the DS-01 off or

separating it from the supply voltage.
E.) External trigger
You can set the DS-01 to the desired flash frequency with an external trigger signal
instead of the internal trigger (setting the desired flash frequency via the keypad).
1. If you want to use an external trigger signal, which is often available on machines,
for setting the flash frequency, set the changeover switch external/internal triggering
(17) to position "EXT". The external trigger LED (3) lights up for control.
2. Connect the external trigger signal with the input socket for the external trigger
signal (16) with a 3,5 mm mono jack plug (signal on tip).
Observe the details about the trigger signal level in the Technical Data

under all circumstances! An excessive trigger signal destroys the DS-01!
3. The display shows the frequency of the external trigger signal; the corresponding
flash frequency is set automatically. With the changeover switch RPM/Hz (18), you
can switch between the display RPM and Hz.
F.) RS-232 interface
The device is equipped with an RS-232 interface for reading the flash frequency with
a PC.
In order to connect the RS-232 interface (15) with a PC, you need the following inter-
face cable:
