4 . Clear any excess paper shreds from the feed ope-
ning. Be careful not to place your fingers near the
feed opening or serious harm could result.

5 .1 Lubricating the cutting mechanism

Caution!
Danger of injury! Damage to the machi-
ne!
Do not use flammable synthetic oil, petro-
leum-based or aerosol products of any kind
on shredder.
Cross-cut cutting mechanisms should be oiled regular
after a certain operating time to maintain the cutting
performance.
This can be easily accomplished if you pour special
shredder oil (Order-No. see „Accessories", p. 10) as
shown on a sheet of paper and feed it through the in-
let guide to the cutting mechanism (Fig. 2).

5 .2 Tip for energy saving

Always keep shredder off and unplugged when not in
use.

5 .3 Disposal of the machine

Always dispose of the machine at the end of its
service life in an environmentally responsible
way. Do not toss any part of the machine or its
packaging into the garbage.
