Never break open battery packs and chargers and store only in dry
rooms. Keep dry at all times.
Use only System M18 chargers for charging System M18 battery
packs. Do not use battery packs from other systems.
Before starting work, the operating sta must be informed on and
trained within:
• use of the machine
• risks associated with the material to be picked up
• safe disposal of the picked up material
This mobile dust extractor is designed, developed and rigorously
tested to function e ciently and safely when properly maintained
and used in accordance with the following instructions.
The vacuum cleaners described in this operating manual are
suitable for
• commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories,
shops, o ces and rental businesses.
• industrial use, such as e.g. plants, construction sites and
workshops.
• for separation of dust with an exposure limit of greater than 1
mg/m³, (dust class L).
The following materials should not be picked up by the vacuum
cleaner
• hazardous dusts which belong to the classes M and H
• hot materials (burning cigarettes, hot ash, etc.)
ammable, explosive, aggressive liquids (e.g. petrol, solvents,
acids, alkalis, etc.)
ammable, explosive dust (e.g. magnesium or aluminium dust,
etc.)
For Dust Class L machines (with type designation -0L, -2L)
following applies:
• The appliance is suitable for picking up dry, non- ammable
dust, hazardous dusts with OEL value > 1mg/m³.
• Dust Class L (IEC 60335-2-69)
• The dusts which belong to this class have OEL values > 1mg/m³
• For machines intended for the Dust Class L, the lter material is
tested. The maximum degree of permeability is 1% and there is
no special requirement for disposal.
• For dust extractors, ensure adequate air change rate L, when
the exhaust air is returned to the room.
Besides the operating instructions and the binding accident pre-
vention regulations valid in the country of use, observe recognised
regulations for safety and proper use.
Accidents due to misuse can only be prevented by those using the
machine.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Any other use is considered as improper use. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for any damage resulting from such use.
The risk for such use is borne solely by the user. Proper use also
includes proper operation, servicing and repairs as speci ed by the
manufacturer.
DRY PICK UP
WARNING!
Picking up environmentally hazardous materials.Materials picked
up can present a hazard to the environment.Dispose of the dirt in
accordance with legal regulations.
Remove battery before emptying after dry pick-up. Filter: Check
the lters. To clean the lter you can shake, brush or wash it. Wait
until the lter is dry before re-starting dry pick-up. Dust bag: check
bag to ensure the ll factor. Replace dust bag if necessary. Remove
the old bag. The new bag is tted by passing the cardboard piece
with the rubber membrane through the vacuum inlet. Make sure
that the rubber membrane is passing past the heightening at the
vacuum inlet.
After emptying: close motor top to the container and secure the
motor top with the latches. Never pick up dry material without
lter tted in the machine. The suction e ciency of the machine
depends on the size and quality of the lter and dust bag. Therefore
- use only Original lter and dust bags.
WET PICK UP OPERATION
• Do not pick up ammable liquids
• Before liquids are picked up, always remove the lter bag. Insert
lter for wet operation. Check that the oat works and level
indicator hose properly. If foam develops or liquid emerges, stop
work immediately and empty the dirt tank.
• If foam appears, stop work immediately and empty the tank.
• Clean the water level limiting device regularly and check for signs
of damage.
Remove ALL dirt and debris found in the tank.
Remove the lter. Ensure that the oat cage remains in place.
Float cage
Turn on the vacuum and begin pick-up.
Turn o the vacuum immediately upon completing a wet pick-up
job or when tank is full and ready to be emptied.
NOTE: If suction shuts o , turn o the vacuum immediately and
empty the tank.
Remove the battery pack.
Raise the hose to drain any excess liquid into the tank. Remove
motor housing and pour liquid waste into a suitable drain.
Clean the interior of the tank and pick-up accessories periodically,
more often when used to pick up wet, sticky materials. Use warm,
soapy water.
AUTOMATIC SUCTION SHUT OFF
When picking up liquids, an internal oat rises until it seats itself
against a seal at the intake of the motor, shutting o suction. When
this happens, the motor will develop a higher than normal pitch
noise and the suction is drastically reduced. If this occurs, turn o
the vacuum immediately. Failure to turn o unit after oat rises
and shuts o suction will result in extensive damage to the motor.
To continue use, empty the liquid waste from the tank.
