4.4.1. Setting a number for the group
Every external line is considered a group for which you can select a number from 30 to 99 of the exchange in the menu 'Number'. As a standard, group
number 81 is set for the first external line, 82 for the second external line.
If you choose a number outside this range, an error report is sent.
4.4.2. Setting a name for the external line
Under 'Name', you set the name for the external line. This name is displayed on the apparatuses in case of an incoming call (if the apparatus is provided
with calling name identification presentation). This way, you can see via which external line a call comes in. If the CNIP function 'calling name identification
presentation' is activated by your network supplier, this has priority over the names of the external lines. In this case, you cannot see which line was called.
If the telephone number is included in the exchange's phone book, it has priority over the name that is sent via the network supplier (see 5.7)
If the connected apparatus has a phone book itself and a name was inserted for the caller's telephone number, this name has priority over displaying the
name of the line.
4.4.3. Setting external call allocations
Set the call allocations for day and night setting by checking off the apparatuses of the internal lines concerned that have to ring along. If you do not wish to
make use of a day and night setting, you are recommended to set both settings identically. You can simply do this by only setting the call allocation for day
setting and then clicking on the button 'Copy day to night'. All call allocations for night setting are set identical to those of day setting. If you are making use
of the daytime overflow function, you can also check off these apparatuses. Leaving 'Daytime overflow function' open, means setting it identical to 'Day'.
