Important: Switch the pump on first, then the UVC clarifying unit. Do not operate the unit without water flowing
through.
The unit switches on automatically when power connection is established.
Switching on: Connect power plug to the socket.
Vitronic 11: The control LED (13) indicates whether or not the UVC lamp is lit.
Vitronic 18, 36, 55: The control window (14) and the transparent stepped hose adapter (15) show whether or not the
UVC lamp is lit blue.
Check all connections for leaks.
Switching off: Disconnect the power plug.
Cleaning and maintenance, replacing the UVC lamp
Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures:
− Prior to reaching into the water, switch off the mains voltage to all units used in the water.
− Switch off the mains voltage prior to carrying out work on the unit.

For an optimum filter performance, we recommend to replace the UVC lamp after approx. 8,000 operating hours.
Open the unit (see under Unit setup)
Replace the UVC lamp (see under Replace UVC lamp)
Important!Only use lamps the designation and rating of which match the information on the type plate.
Pull out the UVC lamp and replace. Also thoroughly clean the inner and outer surfaces of the housing.
Clean the quartz glass
Clean the quartz glass outer face with a moist cloth and check for damage.
Reassemble the unit (see under Unit reassembly)
Storage/Over-wintering
Remove the unit at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Thoroughly clean and check the unit for damage.
Wear parts
The UVC lamp is a wearing part and does not fall under the warranty.
Disposal
Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste! For disposal purposes, please use the return system provided.
Disable the unit beforehand by cutting off the cables.
Only dispose of the UVC lamp by using the return system provided for this purpose.
