4.4 Network settings

In the Network settings section, define settings
for your LAN network. There are two options:
b
If a DHCP server is already present on the net-
work for giving out IP addresses (e.g. your
Internet router), you should leave this variant
activated so that the adapter automatically
receives an address form this server.
b
If you want to assign a static IP address, make
individual entries for all required fields.

4.4.1 Automatic IP address assignment

Installing
LAN-side IP address
Under LAN-side IP in the IP address assignment
field, select the option DHCP client so that the IP
address is automatically obtained from a DHCP
server. The currently assigned network data is visi-
ble (greyed out).
The Standard Gateway is the first address in the
home network node, e.g. that of your Internet
router (192.x.x.x).
b
If you activate the user-defined option, enter
the custom address that you want to use.
b
If you activate the From DHCP option, an
address is automatically obtained from the
DHCP server.
DNS server, LAN-side
DNSs (Domain Name Systems) are name servers
that assign the corresponding IP address to a URL
