10. Continue to don the chemical protection suit
3.2 During use
Connect the external air supply to the ventilation unit's plug

nipple.
Observe during mission:
Never start a mission alone!

If no external air supply is connected, use a protective cap

to close the ventilation unit's connection on the outside of
the chemical protection suit. This protects the ventilation
unit from contamination.
3.3 After use
1. Release the external air supply from the ventilation unit.
2. Take off the chemical protection suit
3. Clean the ventilation unit (see chapter 4.2 on page 8).

4 Maintenance
4.1 Maintenance intervals
The specified intervals are Dräger recommendations. Differing
national guidelines have to be adhered to if need be.

Dräger recommends keeping a record of the mainte-
nance work.
4.2 Cleaning the ventilation unit
1. Dismantle the ventilation unit from the chemical protection
suit:
release the three screws on the inside of the suit and re-
move both halves of the ventilation unit from the chemical
protection suit. (If mounted, the compressed-air hose is
connected to the inner housing.)
2. Remove large contaminations from the ventilation unit us-
ing a brush.
3. Thoroughly rinse the ventilation unit with clean water and
dry it again.
4. Assemble the ventilation unit on the chemical protection
suit (see chapter 4.3.2 on page 9).
5. Test the chemical protection suit for leaks
