Controlling SW42REM or SW82REM switchers with DCTEL and DCBD model keyboards

Please follow the steps given below for correct installation:
• Set the keyboard to the Videotec switcher protocol at 9600 baud.
• Set the dip switches on SW1 in the DCFIT appropriately. Configure dip switches 1, 2 and 3 of SW1 in
the OFF position. Set Dip4 to the ON position.
• Set both JP1 and JP2 jumpers in position B (see configuration of JP1 and JP2 jumper on page 6)
• Connect the switcher with the DCFIT (Current Loop 20 mA, max. 500 metres)
• Connect the keyboard with the DCFIT (RS485, max. 1200 metres)
• Power the DCFIT (GND and 12V= terminals of J1) using a local power supply
The connection between the SW42REM or SW82REM switchers and the DCFIT must be carried out
through the Current Loop line on the TX1 and TX2 terminals of J2. A RJ-jack box and a telephone cable
(supplied with the keyboard) must be used for the connection with the switcher, according to the following
table:

Connection of the DCTEL or DCBD keyboards must be carried out through the RS485 line on terminals A
and B of J1. A RJ-jack box and a telephone cable (supplied with the keyboard) must be used for the
connection, according to the following table:
