Controlling the SW164OSM Matrix with a DCJ, DCK, DCT, DCTEL or DCBD model keyboard

Please follow the steps given below for correct installation:
• Set the keyboard protocol to SW164OSM (DCTEL/ DCBD, see keyboard manual) or VideoOSM (DCJ
and DCT, see keyboard manual) at 1200 or 9600 baud depending on the baud rate set on the
SW164OSM matrix.
• Set the dip switches on SW1 in the DCFIT appropriately. Configure Dip 1 according to the baud rate
used for the matrix and the keyboard. Set Dip 2 and 3 to the OFF position. Set Dip4 to the ON
position.
• Set both JP1 and JP2 jumpers to position A (see configuration of JP1 and JP2 jumpers on page 6)
• Connect the SW164OSM matrix with the DCFIT (Current Loop, max. 1500 metres)
• Connect the keyboard with the DCFIT (RS485, max. 1200 metres)
• Power the DCFIT (terminals GND and 12V= J1) using a local power supply
The connection between the SW164OSM Matrix and the DCFIT must be carried out through the Current
Loop line on the GND, TX and RX terminals of J2. A RJ-jack box and a telephone cable (supplied with the
keyboard) must be used for the connection with the matrix, according to the following table:
DCFIT
Terminals of J2
RX (Current Loop)
GND (Current Loop)
TX (Current Loop)
Connection of the keyboard (DCJ, DCK, DCT, DCTEL or DCBD) must be carried out through the RS485 line
on the A and B terminals of J1. A RJ-jack box and a telephone cable (supplied with the keyboard) must be
used for the connection, according to the following table:

Terminals of J1
A RS485
