Replacing the batter y
1 First, remove the internal door handle and then the internal door fitting
(Fig. 3, page 94).
2 Insert a new battery.
3 Fix the internal door fitting first of all, followed by the internal door handle.
4 Check the lock for ease of movement.
5 Check all functions of the ESA500 / ESA501 electronic door fitting.
 The ESA500 / ESA501 electronic door fitting is ready for operation.

Disposal

Packaging materials must be recycled. The product must be disposed of as
electronic scrap.
Batteries must not be disposed of as household waste and must be handed in at
battery collection points
Note!
Note on the German Battery Act (BattG): You are legally obliged to return used
batteries. Old batteries may contain harmful materials which can damage the en-
vironment or may be harmful to your health when stored or disposed of improp-
erly. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese
or nickel and can be recycled.
The applicable environmental protection regulations must be observed.
