the safe working load (sWl) of the #3616 rolbord is 150 kg - 330 lbs.
the safe working load (sWl) of the #3617 rolbord is 120 kg - 264 lbs.
•
Ensure that the situation is safe for both the patient and you. Do not pull with the arms and shoulders but
make the best use of your body weight when carrying out transfers. Avoid brusque movements. These are very
stressful for neck, shoulders and wrists. Tell the patient what you are going to do and how he can help.
•
During the transfer using a rolbord, the 2 objects (bed, shower stretcher, etc) need to be fixed so that they can't
be moved. In case these objects are equipped with castors with brakes, lock the brakes.
•
A rolbord is not suited for lifting patients; it should only be used for transfers when patients can be slided
between 2 objects.
•
Do not use the rolbord when the rolbord itself and/or the slide sheet that comes with it are damaged or badly
worn. The rolbord can be safely used until the moment, due to wear, there is too much friction during the trans-
fer. The condition of the flexible rolbord #3617 needs to be checked regularly by bending it slightly; it needs to
feel firm, but also flexible for safe use.
•
A rolbord may only be used by persons trained to perform manual transfers and to work with rolbords.
•
The handles of the rolbord have no function during the transfer and can't be used for storage purposes. Wear of
these handles can't be subject to warranty claims.

Washing instruction
The rolbord itself can be cleaned using ordinary soap and a damp cloth. Harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and
excessive water should not be used. The rolbord itself can be disinfected using a dilution of 45% isopropanol.
Washing instruction for the slide sheet
The slide sheet can be washed up till 70°C.
A dryer can be used at low heat.
The slide sheet is not suited for bleaching.
The slide sheet is suited for ironing at low heat.
The slide sheet is not suited for chemical cleaning.

The max. allowed gap between the 2 objects (bed, shower stretcher, etc) during
the transfer using the rolbord is 20 cm -7,8 inch.
