The following areas glow under UV on genuine banknotes:
• Randomly distributed yellow fi bres in the paper
• The stars of the European flag and on the semicircle in yellow
• One quarter of the circle in the banknote center and several other areas
• The horizontal serial number and the glossy stripe in red
Replacing the UV-light
Attention: Switch device off and unplug from power supply before changing light sources.
Remove the three screws from the underside of the device. Separate the top and bottom sections. Remove the
UV-light source and replace it with a new one with the same technical specifi cation. Carefully reassemble the top
and bottom sections and tighten the screws.
Please note that the UV light bulbs are consumable supplies. Their daily deterioration is not covered by our
guarantee.
