– wall bracket with pan/tilt facility for the combination
GB
of camera and motion detector, including screws
and dowels for mounting
– nail clamps with nails for laying the connecting cable
– coaxial low voltage plug for connecting external
components to the alarm relay
4.1 Mounting the combination of camera and
motion detector (fig. 3)
1) Fasten the bracket (9) on the wall by means of the
supplied screws.
2) Push the two pins of the wall bracket into the corre-
sponding holes (10) on the rear side of the combi-
nation of camera and motion detector so that they
lock into place.
3) Connect the connecting cable with the 8-pole mini
DIN plug to the jack (11) on the rear side of the
combination of camera and motion detector.
4) Adjust the combination of camera and motion de-
tector. For this purpose, slightly release the hinge
screws of the wall bracket until the hinges can be
moved. After horizontal and vertical adjustment, fix
the position by fastening the hinge screws.
5) The supplied nail clamps can be used for laying the
connecting cable to the control unit.

4.2 Connecting the control unit

1) Connect the 20 m connecting cable of the combina-
tion of camera and motion detector to the 8-pole
mini DIN jack PIR CAMERA IN (7). If the cable
length is not sufficient, it may be extended up to
100 m.
The mini DIN jack has the following pin con-
figuration:

2) Connect the AV connecting cable with phono con-
nectors to the video output jack (5, yellow) and to
the audio output jack (6, white). To facilitate the
assignment, the connectors and the corresponding
jacks have the same colour.
Connect the other end of the cable to the corre-
sponding AV inputs (possibly marked: "audio in",
"video in") of a monitor, a TV set, or a video re-
corder.
3) If the motion detector registers movement in the
coverage area, the internal alarm relay of the control
unit responds. For example, an additional buzzer or
a video recorder which automatically starts re-
cording in case of alarm can be connected to the
relay output RELAY OUT (4).
The relay contacts are floating. The switch
closes in case of movement detected (NO) and has
a max. load of 24 V /2 A. A plug with soldering

connections matching the jack is supplied with the
system.
4) Finally connect the coaxial plug of the plug-in
power supply to the supply jack DC IN (8) of the
control unit and connect the plug-in power supply to
a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Operation
After the system has been connected to the supply
voltage, it takes approx. one minute until the motion
detector registers movement. Subsequently, the sys-
tem is in the normal operating mode.

5.1 Normal operating mode

In the normal operating mode the motion detector is
active, however, for the time being it does not register
any movement. The LED (2) lights continuously. No
acoustic signal sounds.
By pressing the RESET button (3), the system can
be switched to the operating mode "Pause" (see chap-
ter 5.3).

5.2 Alarm mode

If a movement is registered by the motion detector, the
system switches to the alarm mode. The LED (2)
blinks fast (approx. twice per second). According to the
position of the SOUND switch (1), an acoustic signal
sounds (see chapter 1.1, item 1). The relay responds;
the contact at the jack RELAY OUT (4) is closed for
approx. 30 s.
The diode continues to blink until actuation of the
RESET button (3) switches the system back to the
normal operating mode (alarm quitting).
5.3 Pause
Motion detection is deactivated in the operating mode
"Pause". This operating mode can serve the purpose
to prevent false alarms while the operators leave the
coverage area.
Pressing the RESET button (3) with the system in
the normal operating mode will call the operating mode
"Pause". At the expiration of approx. 60 s, the system
automatically switches back to the normal operating
mode. During this period the LED (2) blinks slowly
(approx. once per second). If the SOUND switch (1) is
not in the position OFF, the "Pause" mode is addition-
ally indicated by a short sound signal which is repeated
at intervals of approx. 1 s.
For an early return of the system to the normal op-
erating mode, press the RESET button.
