2 Safety Notes

The units (combination of camera and motion detector,
control unit, plug-in power supply) correspond to the
directive for electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
normal operating mode
pause mode
alarm mode
The plug-in power supply additionally corresponds to
the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
The plug-in power supply is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing to author-
ized personnel only. Inexpert handling may cause an
electric shock hazard. Furthermore, any guarantee
claim will expire if one of the units has been opened.
Please observe the following items in any case:
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C).
Do not operate the monitoring system and immedi-
ately disconnect the power supply from the mains
socket
1. if there is visible damage to the units,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by authorized
personnel.
If the units are used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if they are not connected or operated
in the correct way or not repaired by authorized per-
sonnel, no liability for any damage will be accepted.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
If the units are to be put out of operation perma-
nently, take them to a local recycling plant for dis-
posal.

3 Applications

The TVCCD-100PIR set is a detection system to be
easily installed for application in monitoring and alarm
systems. It consists of a combination of camera and
motion detector, a control unit, and the required acces-
sories for installation.
The combination of camera and motion detector
comprises a CCD camera, a microphone, and an infra-
red motion detector (PIR). On the one hand, picture and
sound of the coverage area can be taken, on the other
hand, movement detected in the coverage area can be
evaluated in different ways. In case of movement detec-
ted, e. g. video recording can be started or a time-lapse
video recorder can be switched from time-lapse recor-
ding to real-time recording. Another example is the
connection to the alarm input of a video splitter or a
video multiplexer which, in case of movement detected,
switches from multiple camera display to the exclusive
display of a single camera to allow a more precise
observation of the activity detected.
4 Installation
The set is supplied with the following components:
– combination of camera and motion detector
– control unit
– 20 m connecting cable (8-pole mini DIN)
– plug-in power supply
– AV connecting cable (with phono connectors)
