10. When the water boils, the appliance automatically shuts off.
11. To make the water stop boiling earlier, press the switch upward.
12. Caution: The automatic shut-off function works only if the lid
is properly closed.
13. If you want to boil more water, please allow the appliance to
cool off for a few moments.
14. The appliance features boil dry protection. When operated
without water or with excessive scaling, the appliance shuts
off automatically. If this happens, please allow the appliance
to cool off briefly before filling it with water again or descale
the appliance as described in the chapter "Descaling".
15. Always use fresh and cold water. Do not leave water in the
kettle.
16. Switch off and unplug electrical appliances after use.
CAUTION:
The appliance becomes very hot during operation!

CLEANING AND CARE

1. Do not immerse the base, power cord or kettle in water or other
liquids or wash them in the dishwasher.
2. Wipe off the base and the kettle with a damp cloth and a lit-
tle dishwashing detergent. Do not use any abrasive scouring
agents, steel wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or disin-
fectants, since they can damage the appliance.
3. For storage, you can wind the cable around the cable storage
underneath the appliance.
4. The appliance must be completely dry on the outside before
you use it again.

Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance and
unplug it from the power supply.
