oPeratioN

1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Open the lid by gripping into the lid and
pulling it upwards.
3. Fill the kettle with at least 0.5 liters of
water. Do not fill the kettle with more than
1.2 liters of water ("Max" marking).
4. Close the lid by pressing lightly until it locks
into place. The locking mechanism prevents
the lid from opening accidentally when
pouring water.
5. Place the kettle level on the base. The
upright power connection must fit exactly
into the opening at the underside of the
kettle.
6. Switch on the kettle by pressing the key to
I. The control lamp on top of the handle will
turn on.
7. When the water boils, the appliance
automatically shuts off.
8. To make the water stop boiling earlier, press
the switch upward.
9. Caution: The automatic shut-off function
works only if the lid is properly closed.

cleaNiNg aND care

1. allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
2. Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance
and unplug it from the power supply.
3. Do not immerse the base, power cord or
kettle in water or other liquids or wash them
in the dishwasher.
4. Wipe off the base and the kettle with a damp
cloth and a little dishwashing detergent. Do
not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel

1. The lime scale filter has to be cleaned
regularly. Please empty the kettle completely
and allow it to cool off. Carefully remove the
filter from the pour spout. Clean the filter
carefully with a soft brush under running
water. You can also place the filter in a bowl
with a descaling solution. Then rinse the
filter with clear water and insert it in the
pour spout.
2. To keep the appliance operating efficiently
and to prolong its service life, it should
be descaled regularly, depending on the
hardness of your water.

10. If the kettle is lifted up before the water
boils, it has to be switched off by pressing
the I/O switch. If the appliance is not
switched off and then placed back on the
base, the boiling will be continued.
11. If you want to boil more water, please allow
the appliance to cool off for a few minutes.
12. Boiling water can cause scalding. Therefore,
please handle the appliance with care when it
contains hot water.
13. The appliance features boil dry protection.
When operated without water or with
excessive scaling, the appliance shuts off
automatically. If this happens, please allow
the appliance to cool off briefly before filling
it with water again or descale the appliance
as described in the chapter "Descaling" on
page 12.

5. The appliance must be completely dry on
the outside before you use it again.
3. To descale the kettle, fill it no more than
half full with a solution of half water and
half household vinegar. Bring the liquid to a
boil and leave it in the kettle for a while.
4. Pour the descaling solution out of the
kettle.
5. Then fill it with fresh water and bring to a
boil. Pour this water out as well. Then rinse
the kettle at least twice with clear water.
6. Of course, you can also use commercially
available descaling products; please follow
the instructions on the package.
