Operation Requirements

WARNING: This machine is intended for the electro-welding of
SMARTFLEX fittings and pressure testing SMARTFLEX piping systems.
Power Supply
Depending upon the model, the SSEL8403 Multi-Function Welding Unit must
only be powered with:
•
quality 220 V AC 50 Hz power supply, with a maximum tolerance of 20%;
•
quality 110 V AC 50 Hz power supply, with a maximum tolerance of 20%.
It is thus recommended that the intended power source be checked to ensure
that it complies with the above specifications. Should the Multi-Function
Welding Unit be powered by a generator, ensure that the latter is of the
asynchronous type. Should you need to purchase a generator, contact our
Technical Support Service first to obtain details on recommended generator
specifications.
Particular care must be taken, using extension leads, especially as regards
the length / cross-sectional ratio as this can affect the machine operation and
performance; in particular, the cross-sections of the extension leads:
