General Data Input

When powering the Multi-Function Welding Unit up using the main switch the
screen shown on the right appears on the display, SMARTFLEX indicates the
type of the product to be welded;
(UK) indicates the dialog language
SW. Rev. indicates the Software revision or release
the last row indicates in how many days remaining until the Multi-Function
Welding Unit's maintenance operation / calibration is due.
If the operator does not press any key, after a few seconds the display
automatically switches to the following screen, displaying the serial number of
the Multi-Function Welding Unit in use.
If you wish to go back to the previous screen, press the ESCAPE
If the operator does not press any key, after a few seconds the display
automatically switches to the following screen, showing the current date and
time. If you wish to correct these to local conditions press the
use these to scroll and select the required data.
When the current date and time are correct, press the ENTER key to confirm
the selection. If you wish to go return to the previous screen, press the
ESCAPE

If the operator does not press any key, after a few seconds the display
automatically switches to the following screen, where it stops awaiting for the
required data to be entered.
Remove the optical pen from its holder and scan the operator's
SMARTCARD, running the pen tip run over the barcode (preferably from the
left to the right).
In this way, all the operator's pertinent data are read and stored. The Multi-
Function Welding Unit then automatically selects the language mode
corresponding to the operator's language.
WARNING: When the optical pen is not in use, we strongly recommend
that it be kept in its holder for protection.
Immediately after the operator's SMARTCARD is recognized by the Multi-
Function Welding Unit, it displays the expiry date of the SMARTCARD. After
having pressed the ENTER
to the following screen where the operator will input, at their discretion, any
information required to identify the site.
For this input, use the keys
confirmation.
After confirming, the Multi-Function Welding Unit then moves to another
screen where the operator can input, at their discretion, any further
information that will be stored. Also in this case, to input data use the keys
and press ENTER
