Function
Liquid carbon dioxide streams into the cyl-
inder and hardens into dry ice snow by the
drop in pressure. This dry ice snow is com-
pacted by a hydraulic cylinder and pressed
through the extruder plate. This creates cy-
lindrical dry ice sticks, which breaks down
into pellets.

DANGER
Risk of suffocation on account of carbon di-
oxide. The carbon dioxide content in the air
at the place where the machine is used will
increase when the machine is running. En-
sure adequate ventilation at the place of
use; if possible, use an alarm to warn per-
sons. Symptoms of high levels of carbon di-
oxide in the air that is breathed in:
– 3...5%: headache, faster breathing.
– 7...10%: headache, nausea and per-
haps even unconsciousness.
If any of these symptoms occur, please
switch off the machine immediately and get
a breath of fresh air and improve the venti-
