Examples of Handling the TD 390

Task These examples provide you with concrete tasks for handling the
TD 390. The main functions are demonstrated in full detail. You need no
special knowledge of the key functions on the TD 390 to perform these
examples. Each operation is explained in detail in the examples. Once

Switching On and Setting the TD 390

TD to the PLC
Switching on The TD 390 is immediately ready to operate when you have connected it
the text display to the PLC. The unit then performs a self–test. If no parametric DB (e.g.
DB5) is found, the default parameters of the TD 390 are valid (see
Annex A.1). If flag bits are set, messages are immediately displayed.
