5.6.
Circulating pump motor of model U 4855 (Aquavent 6000C)
and U 4856 (Aquavent 6000SC)
These circulating pumps are equipped with a brushless motor.
5.6.1.
Soft Start
The motor starts up slowly and in a way that is gentle to the material.
It takes approx. 5 sec. until maximum speed is reached.
5.6.2.
Run-dry protection (only models U 4855 and U 4856)
The motor features a built-in run-dry protection for speeds > 3300 rev./
min.
Whenever the current draw of the motor is less than 4A during the time
it completes 1018 revolutions, a dry run condition is signaled. The motor
is switched off via the fault lock-out feature (after approx. 10 sec. in the
operating state or approx. 15 sec. after the switch-on procedure).
5.6.3.
Locked rotor protection
If the speed drops below 57 rev./min. during normal operation, the motor
is switched off via the lockout mode after approx. 1 sec. If the motor is
energized but fails to complete a whole revolution within 1 sec., it will
also be shut down via the fault lock-out mode.
5.6.4.
Fault lockout mode
In the case of malfunctions, the motor is switched off via the fault lockout
mode. After approx. 5 sec. the motor will be switched from the fault
lockout mode to the current-saving sleep mode.
5.6.5.
Sleep Mode
The internal loads of the motor's electronic system are deactivated in the
sleep mode. The current draw in this mode is < 2 mA.
5.6.6.
Reactivating the motor
The motor may be reactivated from the sleep mode. This is accomplis-

hed by disconnecting the motor from the power supply for approx. 2 min.
After the power supply has been reconnected, the motor will restart in
the soft start-up mode.
5.6.7.
Polarity reversal protection
The motor does not feature any internal polarity reversal protection. The
motor is protected against polarity reversal via the wiring harness and a
