Operating Manual

Important safety information

▪ Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capacities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they
are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance
safely and they understand the hazards involved.
▪ Children must not play with the appliance.
▪ This appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and
its power cord out of the reach of children.
▪ Switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the mains supply
before changing accessories or approaching parts that move during use.
▪ Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply if it is to
be left unattended as well as before assembling, disassembling or
cleaning it.
▪ If the appliance's power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person if
hazards are to be avoided.
▪ Care must be taken when pouring hot liquids into a compact
food processor or blender as this liquid may be ejected out of the
appliance again due to sudden steaming.
▪ After using the appliance and accessories, clean all surfaces/
parts that have come into contact with food. Please follow the
instructions in the "Cleaning and care" section.
▪ This appliance is designed for use in households and similar
environments, e.g.
⋅ In staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other commercial
environments;
⋅ In farmhouses;
⋅ By guests at hotels, motels or other residential facilities;
⋅ In bed-and-breakfast establishments.
The appliance is not intended for purely commercial use.
▪ Always use the appliance in accordance with these instructions.
Improper use may result in electric shocks or other hazards.
▪ CAUTION: To avoid hazards caused by inadvertently resetting the

temperature regulator, this appliance must not be powered through
an external switching device such as a timer or be connected to a
circuit that is regularly switched on and off by a management system.
▪ Care should be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades,
emptying the jug and during cleaning.
▪ Improper use may cause injury.

Read the instructions for use carefully. They contain important information about the use, safety and
maintenance of the appliance.
They should be kept in a safe place and passed on to any subsequent users.
The appliance may be used only for the intended purpose in accordance with these instructions for use.
The safety information must be observed whilst using the appliance.

Dangerous supply voltage!
Incorrect electrical installation or too high a supply voltage may cause electric shocks.
▪ The appliance should be connected only to earthed wall sockets that have been installed in
accordance with the regulations. The supply cable and plug must be dry.
▪ The mains plug must be freely accessible so the appliance can be disconnected easily from the
mains in an emergency.
▪ Do not use the appliance and immediately remove the mains plug if

You suspect that there is a defect after the appliance has fallen or following a similar incident.
▪ Do not open the casing. Repairs should be carried out by a professional. Please contact an
authorised service centre. Liability and warranty claims are voided if you attempt to repair the
appliance yourself or connect and operate the appliance incorrectly.
▪ Do not immerse the appliance itself, the power cord or the mains plug in water.
▪ Use the appliance only indoors in dry conditions. Never operate it in damp rooms or in the rain.
▪ Do not switch on the appliance when the mixer attachment is empty.
▪ Always operate the mixer attachment with the lid closed.
▪ Never remove the lid until the blades have stopped turning.
▪ Never insert objects into the mixer attachment while the appliance is running.
▪ Do not reach into the mixer attachment before the mains plug has been unplugged.
▪ Always set the speed controller to the Off position (0) before removing the mixer attachment.
Warning! There is a risk of scalding when processing hot food with the mixer attachment. In
extreme cases, the mixer attachment could be damaged. Only food with a maximum temperature
of 60°C may be processed. In this case, do not fill the mixer attachment more than halfway and
firmly press down on the lid with your hand during operation.
