Page P.7
Upper figure:
The three-wire connection line with the servo plug is guided outward through the central bore of the cover plate. The two
power supply lines are guided outward through the central bore of the floor plate.
The clamping screw (Ø 3 x 8) of the outer boom holder is inserted from above and tightened firmly. The clamping screw (Ø
3 x 8) of the inner boom holder is inserted through a slot in the floor plate from below and tightened firmly.
Lower figure:
Attach the remaining three boom arms according to the same method. Make sure to insert the booms according to the
labels. An imagined centre line between motor booms 1 and 4 corresponds to the forwards flight direction during later
operation of the model.
Align the four boom arms at a 90° angle to each other according to the figure and tighten the upper attachment screw of
the outer boom holder.
Page P.8
Upper figure:
Screw the four carrier pins at the GYRO carrier plate with the screws M2 x 3.2. Use low-strength threadlocker varnish.
Glue four foam pads to the bottom of the 3-axis gyro system „GU-344 GYRO". Only use the pads included with the „GU-344
GYRO". Since the foam pads are damaged during disassembly, the „GU-344 GYRO" has a sufficient number of spare pads
included.
Important!
The attachment of the 3-axis gyro system „GU-344 GYRO" depends on the receiver used:
If the receiver has laterally aligned servo connections, it is installed on the GYRO carrier plate together with the GYRO
according to the figure. Receiver installation may take place with double-sided adhesive tape (servo tape) or self-adhesive
hook-and-loop tape.
If the receiver has upwards-pointing servo connections (see lower figure, page P.9), the cover hood would no longer fit. In
this case, the receiver is attached to the cover plate of the central frame and the 3-axis gyro system „GU-344 GYRO" is
installed centrally on the GYRO carrier plate.
Lower figure:
The upper one of the two figures shows connection of the receiver.
• The plug with the 3-wire cable must be connected to the receiver output for the aileron/roll function (AILE).
• The plug with the red cable must be connected to the receiver output for the elevator/nod function (ELEV).
• The plug with the orange cable must be connected to the receiver output for the throttle/pitch function (THRO).
• The plug with the yellow cable must be connected to the receiver output for the rudder/tail function (RUDD).
• The plug with the green cable must be connected to the receiver output for the landing gear/gyro function (GEAR/GAIN).
If you use a 4-channel system for control, leave the plug with the green cable unused. Gyro sensitivity is then set right at the
„GU-344 GYRO" (also see page P.12).
The lower one of the two figures shows connection of the four speed controllers at the 3-axis gyro system GU-344 GYRO.
Connect the four speed controllers to the „GU-344 GYRO" according to the drawing. For the precise motor numbering, see
the figures on page P.7 or P.9.
Important!
Ensure correct polarity of the connection plugs. The cable with the minus pole (-) must be connected to the top,
the cable for the control signals (S) to the bottom!
