2. Hold the blade guard firmly in the grinding position
and tighten the clamping screw slightly to secure
the blade guard.

3. Bring the knife tip against the end stop (fig. 22).
Push the device downwards slightly until the
silencer is resting on the guide tubes.
Important!
Bring the knife tip against the end
stop in such a way that the cutting
edge of the blade does not touch the
grinding wheels!

4. With a uniform movement along the whole line,
dress the device downwards. Press the silencer
lightly against the guide rail. Then lift the device
and bring the knife tip back against the end stop.
By repeating this procedure several times, a sharp
radius- accurate grinding effect is obtained (fig.
23).
Important!
Do not dress the blade upwards,
otherwise it may break!

5. The blade may be sharpened repeatedly. If the
blade at the tip measures less than 8.2 mm it is no
longer usable (fig. 24).
Caution!
If you use sharpened blades of less
than 8.2 mm there is a risk of
breakage!

6. Release the clamping screw and push the blade
guard downwards.

finger and tighten the clamping screw to 3 Nm
(Fig. 9). Use the torque wrench supplied for that
purpose.
