VERTI-GROOM DRIVE BELT
This is located on the RH side of the machine and is
accessed by removing the lid from the drive belt
housing

TO ADJUST VERTI-GROOM BELT
Loosen off belt tensioner and tension drive belt by
moving the belt tensioner up or down in the adjusting
slot so a deflection of 5mm (3/16in) is achieved with a
force of 2.2kgs in the centre of the lower span

TO REPLACE VERTI-GROOM BELT
1.
Disengage Verti-Groom drive clutch by pulling
clutch operating knob. This leaves a gap
between the drive pulley and the clutch
operating knob. Slide the belt into the gap to
allow the drive belt to become loose. Slide
drive belt over pulley lip on the Verti-Groom
shaft.

Clear any debris out of pulleys.
3.
Fit new Verti-Groom drive belt by putting it onto
the Verti-Groom clutch end first so it sits in the
gap between the clutch operating handwheel
and the pulley, then slide it over the Verti-
Groom shaft pulley. By rotating the clutch
handwheel feed drive belt onto pulley.
4.
Adjust as in A above

Before running the machine replace all covers
