7 - RESET AFTER INADVERTENT ACTIVATION

Following ELT 96 / 97 inadvertent activation, proceed as follows :
1) Set on-board VHF/COM station to
121.5MHz.
2) Press push button "AUTOTEST/RESET"
on the Remote control.
NOTE :
If signal does not stop, repeal operations 2) once or twice.
If signal persists, set ELT switch to "OFF" and contact AIR PRECISION

ACTION RESULT
a) Check that ELT transmits the emergency
modulation preceded by a silence.
b) On remote control, check that "XMIT
ALERT" red warning light remains on.
a) The ELT keeps on transmitting emergency
signal.
b) On remote control, "XMIT ALERT" red
warning light is lit for 2s, then goes off.
