10. Setting work in detail

10.1 Set shaking frequency

Display showing actual values ("act" displayed) and shaking is in action,
rotation of Value / Speed knob will change shaking frequency.
Here is another option to change shaking frequency:
Select "set" with Act / Set key; use Select keys to set cursor to Speed in display
and set value by rotating Value / Speed button. New value appears in display.

10.2 Set temperature (4 heater zones with different temperatures)

10.2.1

Setting

Select "set" mode with Act / Set key; cursor automatically jumps to zone 1. Set
temperature with Value / Speed rotary knob. New value appears in display. To set
nominal values for zone 2, 3 and 4, set cursor on zone with Select keys and
proceed as described. New values are saved right away. Return to "act" mode with
Act / Set key.
10.2.2

Temperature setting, limiting values

Temperature difference between 2 neighbored zones must not exceed 25°C. Since
the four heater zones feature annular arrangement this also applies to zones at the
beginning and at the end of a row.

10.3 Set temperature (4 heater zones with same temperature)

Select "set" with Act / Set key; cursor automatically jumps to zone 1. Set
temperature with Value / Speed rotary knob. New value appears in display. To select
the same nominal values for zone 2, 3 and 4, hit Identic key. Display shows same
temperature for all of the zones. New values are saved automatically. To return to
"act" mode, hit Act / Set key.

10.4 Set timer

A timer function allows to disconnect the heater circuit, and, after a certain and freely
programmable delay, shaking action also. Timer start may be a function of activating
heater circuit or activating shaker.
Select "set" mode with Act / Set key; move cursor to Timer with Select keys. Select
time in minutes with Value / Speed rotary knob. New value appears in display.
Heater circuit is disconnected as programmed, shaking action after a certain delay,
freely programmable in the Setup mode (refer to Chapter 12).
You may also activate Timer while synthesis is in process; in this case, time
remaining is set.
Timer being active is confirmed by a moving arrow beside time displayed.
Timer not being activated, display (in display mode, Timer mode) shows time
elapsed since start of heater mode or start of shaking action. Timer start may be
triggered by heater start or shaking action start. Select in Setup mode (refer to
Chapter 12). Return to "act" mode with Act / Set key.
