13.5.2 Electrical connection

DANGER: Risk of electrocution
► Touching internal compponents may cause serious, severe and fatal injuries.
► Do not disassemble the appliance.
► Improper grounding can cause electrical shocks. Do not use a power outlet if it is not
properly installed and grounded.
In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the following
instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
• Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency)
on the rating plate with those of your electrical network. This data must agree in
order that no damages occur in the device. If in doubt, ask your qualified electrician.
• Make sure that the power cable is undamaged and has not been installed under the
oven or over hot or sharp surfaces.
• This appliance must be electrically grounded. In case of a short circuit grounding
will protect against electric shocks because the electrical current is diverted through
the grounding lead. The appliance is fitted with an appropriate cable with a ground
lead and a grounded safety plug. The plug must be inserted into a properly installed
and grounded outlet.
• The electrical outlet must be protected by a 16A safety cut-out switch, separately
from other electricity consumers.
• The electrical safety of the device is only guaranteed if the device is connected to a
properly installed protective conductor system. Operations using an electrical outlet
without a protective conductor are prohibited. If in doubt, have the house installation
checked over by a qualified electrician.
The manufacturer cannot be made responsible for damages that are caused by a
missing or damaged protective conductor.
• Adapters, multi-way strips and extension leads must not be used. Overloading can
lead to fire.
• In case the plug is no longer accessible after installation, a circuit breaker
disconnecting all electrical poles with a distance of at least 3mm between contacts
must be present in the line.
• In accordance with the appropriate regulations, the socket must be installed and the
connecting cable must be replaced only by a qualified electrician.
