5.3 Monitoring the channels

The monitoring function allows to monitor each input
channel and the master signal of the outputs via head-
phones. The level of the signal monitored is indepen-
dent of the position of the corresponding channel con-
trol (7). Thus, the signal is even audible with the
control completely closed which allows to time the
moment for fading in the corresponding audio source.
1) Connect headphones (minimum impedance 8 Ω) to
the jack
(11).
2) Select the channel to be monitored with the rotary
switch MONITOR (13). In the position MAST., the
master signal can be monitored. In the position
OFF, the monitoring function is switched off.
3) Adjust the volume for the headphones with the con-
trol LEVEL (12).
Note: The echo effect cannot be monitored via head-
phones.
