b) Charging the internal battery via USB
If no adequate sunlight or artificial light is available, charge the internal battery via a
USB power source.
• Charge the internal battery when a battery level of below 25% is indicated.
• Connect the micro USB adapter to the micro USB port IN (4) on the solar charger.
• Insert the low voltage socket on the USB cable into the low voltage plug on the micro USB
adapter.
• Connect the USB-A connector on the USB cable to the USB port on a computer.
You can also use a power adapter with a USB output as a power source. Ensure that
the output current of the power adapter does not exceed 1800 mA.
• The charging process commences automatically. The corresponding LED on the battery
status indicator (6) starts to flash.
• The internal battery is fully charged when all four red LEDs on the battery status indicator
are permanently on.
• Disconnect the product from the USB power source as soon as the internal battery is fully
charged. The product is now ready for use.
It takes about 12.5 hours (USB 2.0 port) or 6.5 hours (power adapter with a charging
current of 1 A) to charge the battery, depending on the battery level.
c) Checking the battery level
To check the level of the internal battery, press the on/off button (1) for about one second.
1 LED on: internal battery charged to approx. 25 %
2 LEDs on: internal battery charged to approx. 50 %
3 LEDs on: internal battery charged to approx. 75 %
4 LEDs on: internal battery fully charged
The product turns itself off automatically after about 30 seconds of inactivity.
d) Charging a mobile device
The solar charging device can only charge mobile devices which have been charged at
least once with a conventional charger.
• When charging, place the product on a flat, fireproof and dry surface.
• Use the micro USB adapter included or another suitable adapter for your mobile device.
Now connect the low-voltage plug on the adapter to the socket on the USB cable included.
Alternatively, use the USB charging cable included with your mobile device.
• Connect the USB-A connector on the USB cable to the OUT1 USB port (3) or OUT2 (2).
The OUT1 USB port delivers a maximum charging current of 1 A. The OUT2 USB port
delivers a maximum current of 2 A.
• Briefly press the on/off button (1) to start charging. The battery level will be displayed for
about 30 seconds. The corresponding charging LED (5) for the USB output used turns
green.
• Press the on/button during the charging process to display to battery level for about 30
seconds.
• You can charge up to 2 mobile devices at the same time with this product. In order to do so
you require a second USB cable with a suitable connection. This is not included with the
product.
• Monitor the charging process. Remove the USB cable from the product and the mobile
device as soon as the charging process is complete. The solar charger turns off
automatically after about 30 seconds.
• The product can be carried using the wrist strap included. Secure the wrist strap to the
opening (8).
The solar charger can be used to charge a mobile device at the same time as the
internal battery is charging with solar power from the solar cell. However, if the charging
current is delivered via USB, charging the internal battery at the same time as charging
a mobile device is not possible.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair the
functioning of the product.
• Disconnect the USB cable and connected mobile devices from the product before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the
product, therefore never open/dismantle it.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the housing as
this can lead to scratch marks.
• Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-haired brush.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
The built-in rechargeable battery must be removed by a specialist before disposal.
b) Rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used (rechargeable)
batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the
environment.
