10. Take the kettle off the base station and carefully pour the water into a vessel. Keep
the lid closed when pouring out the water.
11. Allow the kettle to cool down before you pour in cold water again.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
Regularly descale the device.
The device is not dishwasher-safe.
Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These can damage the surface.
Make sure the device has completely cooled down.
If necessary, wipe down the kettle (6) and the base station (5) with a clean, damp
cloth.
Keep the device ready to operate. Remove limescale deposits with a descaling agent.
Follow the instructions on how to use the descaling agent.
If the interior of the kettle is dirty, it can be rinsed carefully with detergent and clear
water. Make sure that no water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the
kettle! Do not immerse the kettle in water! This could cause a short circuit.
If not in use, the kettle may be stored on the base station. However, be sure to pull
the mains plug out of the socket.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a electrical device yourself!

Possible cause
Has the device overheated?
Is the mains plug not inserted
in the plug socket correctly?
The socket is defective.
No mains voltage is present.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
Is the amount of water less
than 0.5 litres?
Fix
Wait until it has cooled down, then
fi ll it with water and try again.
Correct the fi t of the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the electrical
distributor (fuse box).
Reduce the number of devices in
the circuit.
Pour in more water.
