Before Initial Use

1. Remove any protective fi lms and transport restraints that may be present from the
device. Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
2. To remove any possible production residues, fi ll the kettle (6) up to the top marking on
the water level indicator (7) with drinking water before you fi rst use it and let it boil up
(see chapter "Use"). Pour away this water, do not drink it! Repeat this process twice.
3. Clean the kettle in the manner described in the "Cleaning and Care" chapter.
The kettle is now ready for operation!
