Before Initial Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
1. Remove any protective fi lms and transport restraints that may be present from the
device.
2. To remove any possible production residues, fi ll the kettle (7) up to the top marking on
the water level indicator (3) with drinking water before you fi rst use it and let it boil up
(see chapter "Use"). Pour away this water, do not drink it! Repeat this process twice.
3. Clean the kettle in the manner described in the "Cleaning and Care" chapter.
The kettle is now ready for operation!

Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Be careful when pouring out hot water. There is a danger of scalding.
■ The device should only be used out of the reach of small children and animals. The
mains connecting cable must also be kept out of the reach of children. Otherwise
they might use the cable to pull the device down on themselves. There is a danger
of scalding.
■ The device may only be operated in an upright position, never tilted.
■ Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the device switches off
automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before cold water is poured
in and the device is switched on.
