Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The device may only be operated in an upright position, never tilted.
■ Do not operate the device without water. If this does happen, the device switches off
automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before cold water is poured
in and the device is switched on.
1. Wind up or unwind the connection on the bottom of the base station (4) to the length
you want and then place it in the slot which is provided for it on the edge of the base
station.
2. Insert the mains plug into a easily accessible socket.
3. Place the base station on a dry, even, fi rm, water and heat-resistant surface. Do not
place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could
cause damage to them!
4. Push the button for opening the lid (9) and open the lid (1).
5. Fill the kettle (6) with at least 0.5 litres and max. 1.8 litres of water. Insuffi cient water
will cause the device to switch off prematurely. If the top marking is exceeded, water
could splash out during the boiling process.
6. Close the lid. It must engage.
7. Place the kettle on the base station.
8. Select one of the following functions:
A Boil water:
– Press the
water up to 100 °C. The LED-lighting (5) is constantly lit up red as this happens.
B Boil water and keep it hot:
– Press the
up to 100 °C. The LED-lighting fl ashes red as this happens. Once the water has
boiled, the heating function is switched off, but the device keeps the water hot for
2 hours. It starts to heat up the water when the temperature has dropped to approx.
80 – 85 °C. As long as the keep-hot function is activated, the LED-lighting fl ashes
red.
C Heat up water:
– If you do not want to boil the water but just want to heat it up, press the –/+ button (11)
until the control lamp (10) next to the temperature display you want is lit up. The
colour of the LED-lighting changes as you set the temperature as follows:
60 °C
70 °C
80 °C
90 °C
The device switches on and heats the water up to the set temperature.
9. The device switches off automatically once the water has boiled or the set tempera-
ture has been reached. The keep-hot function remains activated for 2 hours, then the
device switches off.
You can cancel the boiling process and the keep-hot function at any time by
pressing the

button (12) for a short time. The device switches on and heats the
button for 3 seconds. The device switches on and heats the water
