2. Remove the kettle from the base station (5). Press the button for opening the lid (2)
and open the lid (1). Pour drinking water into the kettle (7). Attention! The amount
of water must be between the MIN and MAX marking. Too little water means that the
device will switch off too early; if the MAX marking is exceeded, water could spray
out during boiling.
3. Close the lid (1) and place the kettle on the base station (5) which is provided.
4. Move the On / Off switch (4) to position I (ON). The device is switched on and the LED
control lamp (6) lights up blue. The boiling process can be aborted at any time by
moving the On / Off switch (4) to position 0 (OFF).
5. The device switches off automatically as soon as the water boils. The On / Off
switch (4) fl ips to position 0 (OFF) and the LED control lamp (6) switches off.
6. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and remove the kettle from the base sta-
tion (5) so that you can pour the water carefully into an appropriate vessel. Keep the
lid (1) closed while you pour the water!
The kettle can be stored on the base station (5) when it is not being used. However, the
mains plug must be pulled out of the plug socket.
If the kettle has accidentally been operated without any water in it, the device
switches itself off automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before
it is used again.

Cleaning and Care

ATTENTION!
■ Danger of burns! Allow the device to cool completely before cleaning it.
■ Danger of electric shock! Remove the mains plug from the mains socket before
cleaning the base station.
■ Danger of electric shock! Never immerse the kettle, base station, mains cable or
mains plug in water or other liquids. Never touch these parts with wet hands. The
device is not dishwasher-safe.
■ Surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface.
• Check the mains cable regularly for any damage.
• Wipe down the kettle on the outside (and If necessary the base station (5) too) with a
clean, damp cloth. Then wipe it dry.
• Keep the device ready to operate. You should regularly remove water limescale de-
posits with a descaling agent in accordance with the water quality in your area and
how often the device is used. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling
agent to descale the kettle.
