6. Remove the kettle from the base station and pour the water carefully into a vessel.
Allow the kettle to cool down before you pour in cold water again.
The kettle can be stored on the base station when it is not being used. However, remove
the mains plug from the mains socket.
If you accidentally operate the kettle without any water in it, the device switches
off automatically. Allow the kettle to cool down before you use it again.

Cleaning and Care

ATTENTION!
Danger of burns! Allow the device to cool down completely before cleaning it.
Danger of electric shock! Remove the mains plug from the mains socket before
cleaning the base station.
Danger of electric shock! Never immerse the kettle, base station, mains cable or
plug in water or other liquids. Never touch them with wet hands. The device is not
dishwasher-safe.
Surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface.
Check the mains cable for damage at regular intervals.
Wipe down the kettle on the outside (and If necessary the base station too) with a
clean, damp cloth. Then wipe it dry.
Keep the device ready for operation. You should remove any possible limescale de-
posits with a descaling agent. Follow the instructions on how to use the descaling
agent.

Troubleshooting

If the device stops working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem

Possible cause / solution
Is the mains plug correctly inserted in the plug socket?
Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
Has the device overheated? Wait until it has cooled down,
pour water in and then try again.
Is the amount of water less than the Min marking?
Is the water level indicator fl ashing red? This means the
keep-hot function is activated. Press the
switch off the device.
