USING THE MISTING KIT
See Figure 12, page 9.
WARNING:
Ensure that the misting kit does not leak water. Leaks
can result in a slippery surface and create a slip and fall
hazard.
 Flush and test the system for leaks, then assemble the
unit for normal operation as described in the Assembly
section.
 With the misting kit mounted in your desired location,
away from electrical devices and switches, turn the hose
faucet completely on and allow the system to pressurize.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which could result in serious personal
injury.

NOZZLE MAINTENANCE

Irregular mist patterns or leakage may be the result of a
clogged or dirty nozzle. To clean nozzles:
 Turn the hose faucet completely off and disconnect the
misting tube assembly from the T-filter.
 Remove the nozzles from the misting tube assembly.
 Soak nozzles in nozzle cleaner (not included) to loosen
foreign materials clogging or restricting the nozzle.
OPERATION
NOTE: It is normal for water to spray from the drain
valve when the hose faucet is initially turned on. The
valve will close once the misting tube has been properly
pressurized.
 After adequate pressure is reached, water should mist
from the nozzles to the surface below. If misting does not
occur within 10 seconds, turn the hose faucet completely
off and see Troubleshooting later in this manual.
To turn off the misting kit:
 Turn the hose faucet completely off and disconnect the
misting tube from the T-filter.
 Allow water to drain from the misting tube and drain valve
until there is no more water in the system.
 Ensure that the water is drained in an area where it will
not create a slippery surface and slip and fall hazard.

MAINTENANCE

 Using a garden hose, flush debris out of nozzle by back
flushing (running the water through the nozzle backwards
or from the outside to the inside).
 Reconnect the nozzle to the misting tube assembly.
 Reinstall the misting tube assembly to the T-filter.
CLEANING THE T-FILTER STRAINER
See Figure 13, page 9.
 Remove the strainer cap.
 Remove the strainer from inside the T-filter.
 Thoroughly clean the strainer with water and a soft brush.
 Replace strainer in T-filter and reinstall cap.
NOTE: Do not operate the misting kit without the strainer
installed.
WARNING:
Ensure all components of misting kit are properly
assembled after maintenance has been performed and
that the system does not leak water. Improper hose
connections and/or leaks can result in a slippery surface
and create a slip and fall hazard.
NOTICE:
Ensure garden hose is disconnected and misting kit is
properly drained when not in use and prior to exposure
to freezing temperatures. Water remaining in misting
kit during freezing conditions may freeze and damage
misting kit.
