Possible Problem
The wood does not light or lights only slowly.
The wood burns without a bright, yellow flame, smoulders or even goes out.
Too much soot is generated; the heat-resisting stones do
not stay clean and free of soot during operation.
The fire box window becomes sooty.
The wood burns off too quickly.
Smoke escapes into the room while the stove is in operation.
The chimney becomes wet and coated with creosote,
condensate leaks out of the stove pipe.
Smoke escapes when the fire box door is opened.
