Read and observe the instructions supplied with all adhesives! The building instructions inform you when to use
particular glues. If you wish to use white spirit or other solvent as a cleaning agent, note that special safety
measures are required. Read the instructions supplied with these materials.
Assembly instructions
1.
Cut out the Parts List from the instructions, and the page showing the part numbers of the laser-cut
components, so that you always have direct access to this information during the building process. This will
make construction easier, and help you to understand the instructions.
2.
Sand a 45° chamfer in the right and left inside face of the rear and front fuselage reinforcements (1) and
(2). Note that the front fuselage reinforcements are handed (different right and left). Sand a 30°
chamfer in the elevator (3), the rear fuselage centre section (4), the left wing (5), the right wing (6), the left
aileron (7) and the right aileron (8), so that the specified control surface travels can be obtained later. All
the parts should be chamfered as shown in the pictures. When sanding the elevator remember that
the 30° angle should be on the underside. Note that the slot for the horn must be on the same side
as the opening in the fuselage for the elevator servo. When sanding the front fuselage
reinforcements (2) remember that the left and right parts are different.
3.
Glue the battery compartment sides (9) to the battery compartment floor (10). Note that the two sides are
tapered; take care to assemble them facing in the right direction.
4.
Glue the carbon strip wing reinforcements (11) to the upper wing leading edge doubler (12) and the lower
wing leading edge doubler (13) using UHU-por. Cut off the superfluous carbon strip using side-cutters or a
fine saw.
5.
Glue the motor mounts (14) in the slots in the left wing (5), the right wing (6) and the top fuselage section
(15) using UHU-por. Reinforce the joints with self-adhesive glass fibre tape (16).

Glue the wing panels (5) and (6), the front fuselage centre section (17) and the rear fuselage centre section
(4) together using UHU-por. Note that the slot for the elevator horn must be on the same side as the
opening in the fuselage for the elevator servo.
7.
Use UHU-por again to glue the bottom leading edge doublers (13) and the bottom leading edge doublers
(18) to the wing. Before the doublers are attached to the top surface two strips of glass fibre tape for the
aileron hinges must be applied. Repeat the procedure with parts (12) and (19). Note that these parts should
be positioned at the leading edge on either side of the fuselage, and then curve aft gently towards the tips.
It is important to glue the doublers in place on a flat surface to avoid a curved or warped wing. You
will find a slot for the propeller pitch servo output arm in the centre of the wing which acts as a
reference point; this must line up accurately with the matching slot in the leading edge doublers.
8.
Cut four pieces 30 mm long from the remainder of the carbon wing reinforcement (11), and glue them to
the two lower fuselage shell reinforcements (20) and (21) using UHU-por, flush with the undercarriage
slots. The remaining two pieces are glued in the appropriate slots in the bottom fuselage shell

Glue the upper fuselage reinforcements (22) and the lower reinforcements (20) and (21) to the top fuselage
section (15) and the bottom fuselage section (23).
10. Sand a 30° chamfer into the fuselage and rudder (24), as described for the ailerons and wings.
11. Apply glass fibre tape (16) to the underside of the fuselage, the fuselage top deck and the fuselage nose to
act as reinforcements.
12. The next step is to glue the top fuselage section to components (4), (5), (6) and (17); this must be done
with the latter parts lying flat on the workbench. Pack up the front and rear using the two ailerons, then glue
the top fuselage section to the wing at right-angles using UHU-por. Allow the joints to set hard, then glue
the top fuselage reinforcements in place at an angle of 45° , again using UHU-por.
