For Your Safety
When working on the cooling system (filling,
filling quantity etc.) please make sure to ob
serve the instructions of the car manufacturer!
4. Disposal
• For disposal, clean tool set and disassemble it
according to the regulations for work safety and
environmental protection.
• Components can be recycled.
5. Intended use
The vacuumtype cooling system filler 48011 is
exclusively intended for the filling of cooling systems!
6. Elements of the Tool Set
Vacuum meter
Ball valve
Intake tube
Compressed air supply
Exhaust air tube
Adapter
7. Storage
The tool set has to be stored according to the
following conditions:
• Do not store the tool set outdoors.
• Keep tool in a dry and dustfree place.
• Do not expose the tool to liquids and aggressive
substances.
• Storage temperature: 10 up to +45°C.
• Relative air humidity: max. 65%.
8. Maintenance and Cleaning
• Do not let fall down. Do not expose to impacts or
liquids as they might impair the functional efficiency
and damage the tool set.
• Regularly, the owner has to check all components
of the tool set for functional efficiency.
Application
With the HAZET 48011, vacuum is generated in the
cooling system. The required working pressure is
between 6 and 10 bar. The vacuum in the cooling
system causes a temporary deformation of the con
nected tubes. The ultimate vacuum lies between 0.8
and 0.9 bar (green zone in vacuum meter display). A
constant vacuum indicates that there is no leakage in
the cooling system. Repair work has been successfull
(leakage test). A falling vacuum ( < 0.8 bar) indicates
a leakage. The cooling system must not be refilled.
With a successfull leakage test, the cooling system
may be refilled fast and without the creation of bub
bles by suction of cooling fluid.

Caution! –Burn hazard!
The cooling system on hot engines is under
pressure. Be careful when removing the
cover, because hot steam or hot water may
escape.
1.
Remove the cover from the cooling system and
attach a suitable single or universal adapter
from the HAZET cooling system program. You
may also use the suitable rubber cone from the
HAZET Set 48012/3.
2.
Couple the HAZET 48011 to the adapter or
the rubber cone (
3.
Close the ball valve (
4.
Put the intake tube (
pared container with cooling fluid. Please
make sure that no air may be sucked during
the refilling process.
5.
Remove the exhaust air tube (
aside.
6.
Connect the HAZET 48011 to compressed air
(
).
7.
Open the ball valve shortly to allow the cool
ing fluid to be sucked until the HAZET 48011.
Close the ball valve.
8.
Please observe the needle of the vacuum
meter (
) during the vacuuming process and
wait until the ultimate vacuum (green zone in
vacuum meter display, see above) is reached.
8.1. If no vacuum is produced, please check the
cooling system for leakage.
8.2. If an insufficient amount of vacuum is produced,
please check first the input pressure.
9.
Disconnect the compressed air and make a
leakage test (the vacuum remains constant).
10.
If the leakage test has been successfull, open
the ball valve completely. The HAZET 48011
is refilled automatically.
11.
As soon as the cooling fluid stops flowing, the
cooling system is refilled completely and the
ball valve may be closed.
12.
Disconnect the HAZET 48011 and open the
ball valve shortly in order to empty the intake
tube.
13.
Remove the adapter or rubber cone and close
the cooling system with its original cover.
