GENERAL WARNINGS

This manual refers to models from the STR series.
•
• Read this manual carefully before using the unit.
ATTENTION: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
•
ATTENTION: Keep ventilation openings free from obstructions.

Product uses

• The Stratos air conditioner is used to air condition the interior of the driver's cab of a truck with fresh,
dehumidified air.
• The system was built for operation during a stop. However, use is also possible while driving.
• Install the air conditioner using only the manufacturer's assembly kits.
It is absolutely forbidden to use the air conditioner for uses other than those envisaged.

The air conditioner belongs to the category of class III appliances. For this reason it must be powered at
•
a very low safety voltage, corresponding to the value shown on the appliance identification label
The appliance may be used by children aged 8 and older and by people with reduced physical, sensory
•
or mental abilities, and by people lacking experience or the necessary knowledge, provided that use is
supervised or done after suitable instruction has been given regarding the safe use of the appliance and
once there is an understanding of the danger inherent in the product and its use.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be done by children without the proper supervision.
Do not install the air conditioner on agricultural and construction machines.
•
It is possible to wash the vehicle with the roof-mounted air conditioner, but only in car wash stations where
•
it is possible to deactivate the upper roller/brush.
Before washing the vehicle, turn off the air conditioner.
•
Switch off the air conditioner before tipping the driver's cab.
•
• Use of the pressure washer to wash the air conditioner is not permitted due to possible water infiltration.
Do not use the air conditioner with external temperatures below 0°C or above 43°C.
•
In the event of a malfunction, disconnect the air conditioner from the power supply
•
• Some points of the machine can be hot or with potentially sharp edges.
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning operation, disconnect the power supply and wait for the
•
time necessary for the machine to cool down.
• In case of fire, use a powder fire extinguisher

Upon receiving the product

• Check that the packaging is intact. If not, report it to the courier.
Remove the air conditioner from the packaging operating with utmost caution; to avoid accidental injuries,
•
the use of protective gloves is recommended, in particular for models with remote cooling unit.
Check that the product has not been damaged.
•
Any damage must be reported to the dealer no later than 24 hours following delivery.
