Always be careful when working with voltages above 60 Vdc or 30 Vac
rms. Keep your fingers behind the probe barriers at all times during
measurement. Do not touch unused terminals when the meter is
linked to a circuit that is being tested.
1. Connect the red test lead to "VΩ
the "COM" jack.
2. Set the rotary switch to the "Hz" position.
3. Press the RANGE button to manually select the range.
4. Connect the test probes to the circuit and read the measured value from
the LCD.
Notes:
Accuracy of the reading is not guaranteed for amplitudes > 3 Vrms.
Use a shielded cable for measuring small signals in noisy environments.
Temperature Measurements
Do not touch any live parts with the temperature measuring
probe.
1. Set the rotary switch to the "°C" range. If no temperature measuring
probe is connected, the current ambient temperature is displayed.
2. Connect the black plug of the temperature probe to the "COM" jack and
the red plug to the "VΩ
3. Hold the tip of the temperature probe against the object under test. Read
the temperature on the LCD.
Current Measurements
Do not measure currents in circuits with voltages > 250 V.
Current measuring jack µAmA max. 400 mA.
For currents up to 10 A, use the 10A jack.
Always be careful when working with voltages above 60 Vdc or 30 Vac
rms. Keep your fingers behind the probe barriers at all times during
measurement.
1. For measurements up to 400 mA: connect the red test lead to the
"µAmA" jack and the black lead to the "COM" jack.
2. For measurements up to 10 A: connect the red test lead to the "10A"
jack and the black lead to the "COM" jack.
3. Set the rotary switch to the 400µA range for measurements up to 400 µA
(only when test probe is connected to the "µAmA" jack).
4. Set the rotary switch to the 400mA range for measurements up to
400 mA (only when test probe is connected to the "µAmA" jack).
5. Set the rotary switch to the 10A range for measurements up to 10 A (only
when test probe is connected to the "10A" jack).
6. Press the FUNC button to select DC current (DCA) or AC current (ACA)
mode.
7. Connect the test probes in series with the circuit.
