Machine installation should only be carried out by
a qualified technician.
Contact your Brother dealer or a qualified electri-
cian for any electrical work that may need to be
done.
The sewing machine weighs more than 25 kg. The
installation should be carried out by two or more
people.
Do not connect the power cord until installation
is complete, otherwise the machine may operate
if the treadle is depressed by mistake, which could
result in injury.
Be sure to connect the ground. If the ground con-
nection is not secure, you run a high risk of re-
ceiving a serious electric shock, and problems
with correct operation may also occur.
Refer to the instruction manual for the motor for
details on installing and using the motor.
Die Nähmaschine darf nur von einem Fachmann
montiert werden.
Falls Elektrikerarbeiten gemacht werden müssen,
wenden Sie sich an Ihren Brother-Händler oder an
einen qualifizierten Elektriker.
Weil die Nähmaschine mehr als 25 kg wiegt, sind
zur Montage mindestens zwei Personen notwen-
dig.
Schließen Sie das Netzkabel erst nach vollständi-
ger Montage an, weil sonst Verletzungsgefahr
besteht, wenn die Nähmaschine durch unbeab-
sichtigtes Betätigen des Pedals in Gang gesetzt
wird.
Die Maschine muß unbedingt geerdet werden. Bei
einen fehlerhaften Erdungsanschluß besteht die
Gefahr eines schweren elektrischen Schlages und
außerdem können Betriebsstörungen auftreten.
Für Einzelheiten über die Montage und den Be-
trieb des Motors wird auf die Bedienungsanlei-
tung des Motors versiesen.

CAUTION/ACHTUNG
All cords should be secured at least 25 mm away
from any moving parts. Furthermore, do not ex-
cessively bend the cords or secure them too firmly
with staples, otherwise there is the danger that fire
or electric shocks could occur.
Install the belt covers to the machine head and
motor.
Be sure to wear protective goggles and gloves
when handling the lubricating oil and grease, so
that they do not get into your eyes or onto your
skin, otherwise inflammation can result.
Furthermore, do not drink the oil or eat the grease
under any circumstances, as they can cause vom-
iting and diarrhoea.
Keep the oil out of the reach of children.
Alle Kabel müssen mindestens 25 mm von sich
bewegenden Teilen entfert sicher befestigt
werden. Die Kabel dürfen auch nicht zu stark
gebogen oder zu fest mit Klammern befestigt
werden, weil sonst die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlages besteht.
Bringen Sie den Riemenschutz am Maschinen-
oberteil und am Motor an.
Tragen Sie zur Handhabung von Schmieröl und
Schmierfett eine Schutzbrille und Schutz-
handschuhe, so daß kein Öl oder Fett in die Au-
gen oder auf die Haut gelangen kann, weil sich
sonst diese Stellen entzünden Können.
Schmieröl und Schmierfett darf nicht eingenom-
men werden, weil sonst Erbrechen und Durchfall
verusacht werden können.
Bewahren Sie das Schmieröl nicht in Reichweite
von Kindern auf.
