1. Preamble

These Instructions for Use detail all the information required
to identify, connect, and clean the cables in use with a Press-
io Interface PSO-IN00, the Pressio intracranial temperature
module (PSO-MT00), the Pressio Monitor (PSO-3000 or
PSO-4000), and the Pressio Catheters range ; hereinfater re-
ferred to as Monitor and Catheter.
Any request for information or modification relating to this
guide should be sent to: Sophysa – 5, rue Guy Moquet –
91400 Orsay – France.

2. Intended use

Sophysa provides three types of cables to be used exclu-
sively with its Monitoring systems.
– Catheter Extension Cable
The Catheter Extension Cable is intended to be used ex-
clusively with the Pressio 2 ICP Monitor (PSO-4000). It
makes it possible to electrically connect the Pressio Cath-
eter to the Pressio 2 ICP Monitor. It conducts the analog
signal from ICP and ICT sensors to the Pressio 2 ICP Mon-
itor.
It allows the Pressio 2 ICP Monitor to communicate with
the Pressio Catheter memory in the form of a digital signal.
– Pressure cable
The pressure cable is intended to be used with Pressio
Monitoring systems (the Pressio ICP Monitor (PSO-3000),
the Pressio 2 ICP Monitor (PSO-4000), the Pressio intra-
cranial temperature module (PSO-MT00) and the Pressio
interface (PSO-IN00)).
It makes it possible to connect monitoring systems to the
patient monitor and transmit the ICP value in the form of
an analog signal.
– Temperature cable
The temperature cable is intended to be used with Pressio
Monitoring systems (the Pressio ICP Monitor (PSO-3000),
the Pressio intracranial temperature module (PSO-MT00)
and the Pressio 2 ICP Monitor (PSO-4000)). It makes it
possible to connect monitoring systems to the patient
monitor and transmit the ICT value in the form of an analog
signal.

3. Description

The cables are indicated for use with the Monitor and Cathe-
ters only.
The Monitor must be used with the Sophysa-supplied cables
listed below.
NOTE
The Catheter Extension Cable (PSO-EC30) must only
be used with the catheters listed in the Pressio
ter Kits table (Section 12. References (p. 11)).
NOTE
Cables connections illustrated in this document are ex-
amples provided with the use of a Pressio 2 ICP Moni-
tor (PSO-4000).
