13. Route the blue and yellow power cables from the contactor to the winch. Install terminal boots supplied in winch kit and attach
the terminal ends to the contactor and winch motor terminals. Use cable ties to secure the cables away from sharp edges, heat
sources and mechanical components.
14. Route the red and black power cables supplied in this winch mounting kit. Use cable ties to secure the cables away from sharp
edges, heat sources and mechanical components. This will require:
a. Removing the factory plastic skid panels.
b. Routing along passenger side frame tube, with factory wire harness.
c. Routing into the battery compartment along with the factory wire harness.
15. Install terminal boots supplied in winch kit and attach the black and red cable terminals to the contactor terminals. Note: For the
black and red cables, the ends with the heat shrink install on the contactor.
16. Install the black power cable terminal to chassis ground.
17. Reattach the vehicle positive terminal to battery along with winch red cable terminal.
18. Tighten all fasteners to recommended values on page 2. Refer to factory specifications for factory bolt torque values.
Red Cable
1. Inspect all parts on the winch, winch mount, and related hardware prior to each use. Replace all hardware that appears
rusted or deformed.
2. Inspect all nuts and bolts on the winch, winch mount,, and related hardware prior to each use. Tighten all nuts that appear
to be loose. Stripped, fractured, or bent bolts or nuts need to be replaced.
3. Check all cables prior to use. Replace cables that look worn or frayed.
4. Check all moving or rotating parts. Remove debris that may inhibit the part from moving freely.
