V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
The product is intended for outdoors domestic use in private gardens or lands.
The product is intended for drilling holes for the laying of stakes, poles, trees; shrubs, clothesline... in
the ground or sand without large stones or rocks.
- The product is not intended for drilling, chiselling on any material; for oil, gas, water drilling (etc.);
for the drilling of ice.
- Do not use the product for applications not described in this manual.
- The product is not intended for artisanal, commercial, professional and / or industrial use (e.g. in
public spaces and parks ...)
5.2- Operation
Check points before operation
1. Check for loose bolts. Nuts and fittings.
2. Check the air cleaner for dirt. Clean the air filter of all dirt. Etc. before operation.
3. Check there is no fuel leak.
4. Check the bit is not running in idling speed.
WARNING! Do not allow anyone to enter the
operating DANGER ZONE with you.
The danger zone is an area 15 meters in radius (about
50 feet.)
Note: Begin to familiarize with the machine's
operation by working on a small surface in good
working conditions.
5.3- Drilling operation
• Keep a firm grip of the auger at all times on a wide stance and by holding
the handle with both hands.
• A reacting motion may occur on the auger when spinning drill has hit on
stones or tree roots under the ground. Always hold the auger securely to
control such motion.
• Start drilling with half-throttle, and gradually increase the engine speed so
that the drill may get into the ground smoothly.
• When the drill has been caught in the ground and cannot be pulled out, stop
the engine and rotate the auger counter-clockwise.
ATTENTION! National or local regulations may restrict the use of the
machine to certain hours or periods. Check with your local authority.
