7. Maintenance and care

The following points must be noted and adhered to in order to protect the 3B LASER NEEDLE and in particular to prevent damage
to the FOC:
FOC should not be kinked or placed under tension. Do not tread on the FOC or pull on them. Always make sure that no
knots form in the FOC and that they are not twisted. Do not apply any strong pressure to the FOC.
Note the minimum bend radius of 1.5 cm.
Only handle the FOC using the white holder and always replace them in the holders provided when not in use
(Fig. 5 / Fig. 6).
Using a soft cloth / cotton pad, clean the laser beam outlet (sleeve) using 70% ethanol following each contact with skin and when
changing the patient.
Do not expose the unit to direct sunshine.
You can clean the housing using a gentle cleaning agent. Before cleaning disconnect net plugs.
Humidity may not penetrate into the housing.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or by authorized persons. Unauthorized opening of the unit cancels
the warranty. Contact the technical service if a repair is necessary.
Only use the laser system indoors and at room temperatures

8. Safety information

Please observe the instructions and warnings in the operating instructions and the warning labels on the 3B LASER NEEDLE.
The 3B LASER NEEDLE should only be used by medical specialists who have been trained in the correct handling. Treatment must
be given while under permanent supervision.
If used incorrectly, lasers can damage your eyes, especially at distances shorter than the safety distance.
Do not look into the laser beam outlet, and do not point into the eyes of other persons even if eyes are closed.
The safety distance when viewing directly into the beams 30 cm depending on the output power.
Make sure that no mirrors or other reflecting surfaces are located within the safety distance from the 3B LASER NEEDLE (reflec-
tion of laser light). While treatment you always have to wear laser protection glasses (patient and therapist) for the used
wavelength. Laser protection glasses have to apply to the EU-standard EN207.
The 3B LASER NEEDLE should only be switched on once all the FOC selected in the Start menu have been attached to the patient.
Once the treatment is complete, switch the 3B LASER NEEDLE off and return the FOC to their original position.
If the 3B LASER NEEDLE, the FOC, the connection plugs and/or the mains power plugs show any signs of external damage, the 3B
LASER NEEDLE may no longer be operated and must be returned to the manufacturer.
Magnetic and electric fields may influence the laser system functions. Therefore do not use the LASER NEEDLE in the vicinity of
equipment which generate large electromagnetic fields, e. g. diathermy units or mobile telephones.
The device and the rechargeable batteries are subject to the WEEE regulations (waste of electrical and electronic equipment)
2002/96/EG and may not be disposed off as normal household waste. If you finally wish to terminate use of the laser system, please
contact the technical service .
The manufacturer is only responsible for safety and reliability if the laser system is used in accordance with
